Mel Swain has enjoyed over 20 years' industry experience in roles
within aviation, hotels, events in both the private and government
sectors in sales and sponsorship. Mel has also previously owned and
operated a successful national restaurant franchise. Mel has experience
in both domestic and international tourism and has been actively
involved in significant committees including ATEC ACT Branch Committee, the
National Capital Attractions Association and has been a strong advocate
for tourism within Canberra and the region.
Mel is always keen to share her knowledge and experience and passion
for travel and tourism. As a true Canberran, Mel wholeheartedly agrees
with the New York Times when they say Canberra is the world's greatest
city to live “what the bush capital” lacks in the big-city tousle, it
makes up for in big-sky beauty, breezy civic pride and a decidedly
hipster underbelly”. Mel looks forward to working with ATEC, the members and the inbound industry.
